Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1-7th June 2022: Transfer from Kampala to Kibale Forest National Park, Bigodi Swamp Walk

You will be picked up around 7: 30 am by our Guide who will brief you about your tour and then depart for Kibale Forest National Park which will take around five and a half hours of drive.
Post Lunch you will be taken for Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary walk. This is a guided swamp walk that takes you closer seeing primates mostly monkeys, birds and butterflies. The wetland is a bird paradise with about 138 species and is best known for being home to the Great Blue Turaco.
This is a 2½ – 3 hour walk and is a must for bird lovers. The walk is almost as popular as the Kibale Forest Walk. You will need good walking shoes since part of the walk is sometimes muddy. Hopefully you will spot the elusive Sitatunga antelope and the Shoebill Stork. This is nothing to be missed. You will meet some of the primates here, even a chimpanzee at times. Other primate species include the black-and-white colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed, l’Hoest’s and blue monkeys, and olive baboons. Also, Bushbucks and mongooses and many more can also be found here. There is also an abundance of butterflies. Bigodi Sanctuary is located outside the park in Magombe Swamp.

  • Day 2-8th June 2022: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest National Park transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Kibale Forest National Park boasts the highest number of primate species in the world, including the chimpanzees. Approximately 5,000 chimpanzees live in the wild in Uganda, which makes it a perfect place to spot them!
The Park is popular for its primate’s population like the chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, red cheeked monkeys and red-tailed monkeys. On your chimpanzee trails, these are regularly seen swinging in the forest trees and others feeding on the wild fruits.
An experienced ranger will take you chimp tracking in the morning around 6:30 am. Once you locate the chimpanzees, you will have a full hour with them. You will return to the lodge for lunch after which you will head out for Queen Elizabeth National Park which will take around two and a half hours of drive. You will arrive in the evening.   • Day 3-9th June 2022: Game drive and Boat Cruise at Queen Elizabeth NP, and transfer to Ishasha Sector

Your day will begin early by 6:30AM, the sunrise time is usually the best time to spot animals in their natural habitats. Heading off for a game drive at the break of dawn you will be able to see Africa’s highly famed “Big 4”, Bush Bucks, Giant Hogs, Antelopes, Waterbucks and plenty of birds.
You will finish your game drive and return back to the accommodation just in time for lunch. After your lunch you will go for a two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Lake Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others. You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores.

  • Day 4-10th June 2022: Game drive at Ishasha Sector and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Early morning Game drive at Ishasha sector to see the tree climbing lions if you are lucky and then post Lunch transfer to Bwindi National Park.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a big habitat for mountain gorillas in Uganda; harboring an estimated 400 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rain-forests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants.
With a strenuous day ahead, you will check into your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day. Dinner and overnight accommodation will be provided at:

  • Day 5-11th June 2022: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Cultural trail experience

The peak of Uganda Tour Safari is in Bwindi where we meet our cousins the Mountain Gorillas. We will have an early morning breakfast and move to the park headquarters to join other trackers at 7:45 am for a briefing about the gorilla trekking rules. You will trek through thick creepers and undergrowth with your guides to find the Gorillas, which can take you 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas as they range freely in the impenetrable forest. You will have one hour to stay with these intelligent, majestic, and gentle giants that share over 90% of their genetic material with humans. You will later return to you’ Lodge for evening
After a powerful breakfast with a packed lunch will, you will be transferred to the park starting point for briefing by the park rangers who will take you in a group of not more than 8 people per group as you journey into the amazing rain-forest. The charming mountain gorillas form the highlight of the park and of your Gorilla Trekking Uganda Safari. The time taken to track these primates varies according to their movements and once sited, you will spend the whole to observe, spend time with and photograph these gentle, peaceful and shy gorillas. This safari in Uganda is a once in a lifetime unique, breathtaking, inspiring and memorable adventure and later return to you’ lodge. In the evening go for Batwa cultural experience, You will go through their villages to have an experience of how they go about their daily routine activities and be amazed by the way they skillfully cultivate the hill sides and how they care for their animals (cows) that are a prime source of pride later return for

  • Day 6-12th June 2022: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP

After breakfast transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The drive takes 4-5 hours You will continue through the Savannah grasslands dotted with human homesteads, banana plantations and several herds of local long horned Ankole cattle endemic to this part of the Country, check in you’ lodge for some rest and later for an evening game drive through the park in search of plain game like zebra, hippos, crocodiles, eland, antelope, impala and a variety of birds. you will for a game drive in search of plain game like zebra, hippos, crocodiles, eland, antelope, impala and a variety of birds return to you’ lodge for dinner and overnight at:

  • Day 7-13th June 2022: Transfer back to Kampala and connect to Jinja

After an early morning breakfast, depart with great memories of the moments spent at Lake Mburo NP, arriving in Kampala by the afternoon and we visit Test and Fly Laboratories for a Covid PCR test afterwards we connect to Jinja.

  • Day 8-14th June 2022: White Water rafting and transfer back to Entebbe to fly to Nairobi

After breakfast we head for rafting begins at the Heavens by 09:00am with a comprehensive briefing and being fitted with the special rafting gear and is done on an 18 kilometre stretch of the Nile River. No prior experience of rafting is required. The first few rapids are of low grade (1, 2) to build the confidence of the participants before guiding them gradually into the more challenging grades.
A total of eight major rapids are rafted to maximize the adrenaline rush of this adventure. You will, after the rafting adventure, be treated to a barbecue lunch and drinks before setting off for a brief tour of the historical town of Jinja. You will go for a boat cruise to the source of the River Nile before driving back to Entebbe arriving late in the late evening. In-line with you’ flight time you will be dropped to the Entebbe Airport to fly to Nairobi, arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta international airport where you will be met by our representative for a transfer to you’ Hotel for overnight

  • Day 9-15th June 2022: Sheldrick Trust | Mara

After breakfast we will head to the Sheldrick Trust which opens at 11h00 for feeding. The Sheldrick Trust (Elephant orphanage) is a home to baby elephants whose parents either died through poaching or natural calamities. Here the babies are raised until the time they can defend themselves before being released to the national parks. Thereafter you will be taken to a city restaurant for lunch before departing for Masai Mara National reserve. Descend into the Great Rift Valley with views of Mt. Longonot and other escarpments on a clear morning with stops at the view point for photo shoot. Further drive through Narok town home to the Masai people and arrive Masai Mara late evening for dinner and overnight.

This day is best planned between the clients and their safari guide, either choosing to do a half or full day game drive in search of more wildlife at the plains of Mara where they roam freely.

A drive that takes you to the border of Isebania where you will be met by our Tanzania safari guide, full briefing and after being assisted with travel formalities drive through the Northern part of Tanzania where farming and mining is mainly the source of income
